George Loney was a prosperous farmer in Ballalina House (between Ballingarry and Borrisokane). They were childless, but took in Tom and Georgina (Sis) from Sarah's elder brother Thomas's family when he died in 1913. George developed polio, and lost the use of his legs. Had a donkey and cart which he used like a wheelchair. He was a strong man and could lift heavy bags despite his disability.
